As part of the 61st Session of the International Coconut Community (ICC), delegates from ICC member countries carried out a full-day field visit to the Aromatic Farm and Thai Coconut Public Company Limited in Damnoen Saduak District, Ratchaburi Province. The visit offered valuable insights into Thailand’s leading practices in coconut cultivation, processing, and integrated value-chain development.
The first stop of the visit was the Aromatic Farm, regarded as one of the best aromatic green coconut farms in Thailand. Founded in 2016, the Aromatic Farm has grown into a model enterprise showcasing innovation, sustainability, and diversified business development within the coconut sector. Delegates were warmly welcomed by Ms. Nuanlaor Dherdkiattikun, owner of the farm, who introduced the farm’s history and operational philosophy.

Ms. Nuanlaor highlighted the farm’s three self-created business units, which demonstrate its holistic approach to coconut farming:
- Academy Service Unit – Offering professional training, study visits, and comprehensive consultancy services for farmers, agribusinesses, and institutions.
- Value Waste Management Unit – Transforming aromatic coconut waste into biochar, adding value while supporting sustainability and circular economy practices.
- Coconut Processing and Distribution Unit – Providing high-quality semi-dehusked and fully dehusked aromatic green coconuts for domestic and international markets.
Delegates toured the aromatic coconut plantation and learned about sustainable farm management techniques, harvesting methods, and the farm’s post-harvest handling and processing procedures.

In the afternoon, the delegation proceeded to Thai Coconut Public Company Limited, one of Thailand’s leading coconut processors and exporters. The group was welcomed by Mr. Tanawat Chinpinklyo, who presented an overview of the company’s operations and achievements. He highlighted that Thai Coconut exports its products to more than 90 countries worldwide, with coconut water and coconut milk as its major flagship products.
Participants were then guided through the factory to observe the entire production flow—from raw material intake and rigorous quality control to modern processing technologies and final packaging for global distribution. The tour demonstrated Thailand’s strong capability in producing high-quality, value-added coconut products for international markets.
The field visit contributed to enriching the understanding of ICC delegates regarding advanced farming, sustainability-focused innovation, and global-scale processing practices. It also strengthened collaboration and knowledge exchange among ICC member countries as part of the ongoing efforts to support the development of the global coconut sector.
