Husk Based
About
Coconut Husk is industrially segmented into three types of products: the mattress fibre, coir pith, and bristle fibre. The fibres which are known as coir can be used in a variety of products. Coco fibre pith also known as coco peat is spongy, lignocellulos, quick water absorption & retention, provide better aeration and supply of adequate moisture to the plant, maintain good temperature and good PH value for plants. It is a biodegradable by-product of the coconut fibre extraction process. It is 100 % natural, eco-friendly , bio degradable, low cost, soil conditioner , easy to recycle and hence environmentally friendly.
Our Products
Coir
Coir (pronounced COY-er) comes from coconuts. It's what makes up the fibrous husks of the inner shell of the coconut and is used for all sorts of products, including rugs, ropes, brushes, and even upholstery stuffing. You're probably most familiar with it as those stiff, scratchy doormats and the fibrous liners used in hanging baskets. Coir is very rot-resistant, making it perfect for outdoor products. It is also becoming increasingly popular as a potting mix and organic soil amendment. Source : https://www.thespruce.com/what-is-coir-1403141
Peat
Coco peat, a growing medium derived from coconut husks, is commonly used to improve soil. It’s advantageous for its water-holding capacity and nutrient provision, particularly when employed in hydroponics. Additionally, it has antifungal properties when incorporated into soil. With a pH level between 5.0 and 7.0, coco peat is compatible with a wide range of plants. It can be shaped into different forms such as bricks or disks, adding to its versatility. Coco peat is particularly abundant in tropical regions where there is easy access to coconut husks Source : https://indonesiacocopeat.com/cocopeat/coco-peat-use-and-benefits/
Fibre
Coco fibre, a natural fibre derived from the husk of the coconut, lies between the hard shell of the coconut and its outer layer. This fibre is used in the production of a wide variety of goods. including doormats, mats, brushes, and mattresses. The high lignin and low cellulose content of coco fibre makes it tough, strong and extremely durable. The lightness of the fibre is due to the voids that form during the drying of the coir cells. High-quality coir fibre is light in colour, either golden yellow (from immature coconuts) or brown (from mature coconuts). Brown fibre, obtained from mature coconuts, is used for upholstery, sacks and horticulture. In contrast. white fibre, which comes from immature coconuts, is used to make finer brushes, ropes and nets. Source :https://indonesiacocopeat.com/cocofiber/what-is-cocofiber-and-what-is-benefits/
