The 51st international COCOTECH Conference and Exhibition 2024 is the largest technical conference dedicated solely to showcasing the different development activities in the coconut sector. The conference is conducted once every two years. This year it is organized jointly by the International Coconut Community (ICC) and the Ministry of Trade, Republic of Indonesia, which provides hosting facilities. Honiara, Solomon Islands – July 5, 2024 – The "Towards an Action Plan to Minimise the Impacts of Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle and Other Major Pests on Coconuts in the Pacific Islands" conference, organized by the Pacific Community (SPC), concluded successfully at the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) from July 2 to July 5, 2024.

A Courtesy Visit by the Vietnam Coconut Association to the ICC Secretariat and Indonesian Coconut Industries.

A delegation from the Vietnam Coconut Association, led by Mr. Cao Ba Dang Khoa, Secretary General and Vice President of the Association, recently paid a courtesy visit to the ICC Secretariat. Mr. Cao is also the ICC National Liaison Officer for the Government of Vietnam, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The delegation, comprising five members from the Vietnam Coconut Association and Mr. Pham The Cuong, Counsellor (Trade Affairs) of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Indonesia, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Jelfina Alouw, Executive Director of the ICC.
